Add a bold vertical accent to your garden with Purple Pillar® Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)! This unique columnar shrub grows tall and narrow—making it ideal for tight spaces, borders, or as a dramatic focal point. From mid-summer through fall, it’s covered in large, semi-double, purple flowers with deep red centers that attract butterflies and pollinators.
Unlike traditional Rose of Sharon varieties that spread wide, Purple Pillar® grows upright like a living column, reaching up to 10–16 feet tall but only 2–3 feet wide. It’s heat-tolerant, drought-tolerant once established, and deer-resistant—perfect for low-maintenance landscapes and privacy hedging.
We have 3-gallon containers available. Plants are 3 to 4 feet tall! Free shipping included.
